Domestic Building Energy Ratings

A Building Energy Rating (BER) certificate is an asset rating of the energy efficiency of a domestic unit. It takes into account the size of the building, the building materials, the construction type, the insulation levels, the type of windows, details of the heating and hot water systems, etc. This information is then used to calculate the energy performance of the building and it’s rated on a scale of A to G, with an A rated building being the most energy efficient.
